Our Background Wavelink Academy (WA) was registered on 17 November 2003 with the primary objective of adding value to the maritime industry through training. It has since organised numerous maritime related courses, workshops and conferences, attracting both local and international participants. WA has since extended its influence in training to the corporate, school and public sector. Recently, in order to expand and strengthen the maritime division, WA incorporated a new subsidiary, Wavelink Maritime International Pte Ltd on 01 October 2007 which will bring maritime training to yet another level of proficiency.

Organisation Structure
There are a total of four divisions with Marine as the primary focus. Courses such as “Management Essentials” offered at Corporate division are additional benefits to the Maritime industries. In additions, programmes and conferences in the School and Public divisions further add value to the life of the seafarers and their families.

Courses
At Wavelink Academy , we aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of every individual with personal development and corporate level courses such as Problem Solving Tools and Techniques, Leadership and Human Dynamics, The Power Communicator and Mindmapping Workshop. These corporate level courses can be tailor-made for different industries to achieve maximum effectiveness in the learning and application of soft skills.

Our school courses include Effective Goal Setting and Time Management, Basic Videography & Movie Production and Mindmapping for Children. For public workshops, useful topics include Effective Management of Personal Finances, Achieving Fitness Without A Huge Price Tag, Forging a Strong Parent-Child Relationship Starts At Zero, IQ, EQ and AQ – Know Them, Possess Them.

Seminars & Conferences
Beyond courses, the Academy organises regular conferences for shipping and maritime related companies. These events have served as valuable platforms for the shipping community to be kept abreast of the latest highlights, changes and real life case studies. In addition, the conferences provide invaluable mass networking opportunities. The key conference organised regularly is the Maritime Manpower Singapore (MMS).

Trainers and Consultants The Academy works closely with a pool of experts in their various fields to offer only programmes that are of high s tan dards and relevancy. With the growing pool of experienced trainers and consul tan ts who desire to work with the Academy, it is able to move into the non-maritime areas such as Corporate, School and Public as seen in the Organisation Structure.
