Maritime Programmes for CBA companies consist of 3 main training programmes, i.e. Cadets Maritime & Education Training, Junior Officers Maritime & Education Training and Senior Officers Maritime & Education Training programmes. The whole spectrum of training is to meet the varying demand of training requirements of cadets, junior officers and senior officers. CBA companies are eligible to use the SMT Fund (SMTF) for these Programmes.

| Junior Officers Maritime Education & Training Programme (JMETP) |
The main thrust of the SMTF is to make training programmes accessible and affordable for CBA companies. Depending on the country of origin of officers employed by the CBA shipping companies, training courses can be organized and conducted collectively in countries of origin to take advantage of officers on home leave. WAVELINK Maritime Institute can therefore customize these training programmes to be conducted either in Singapore , China , the Philippines , Myanmar , Vietnam , India , Indonesia , etc. The rationale of JMETP is to reduce the traveling time to another country for training and the reduction in the administration costs for the CBA companies. JMETP consists of 1 Junior OfficersPlus Basic and 26 Junior OfficersPlus Advanced programmes.
